Shed hunting is the sport of gathering antlers that deer, moose and other animals have naturally shed in the winter. This workshop will break down the steps to motivate and build shed hunting skills with your canine companion. We only have room for 15 dogs in this workshop, so sign up today to secure your spot! Only $75.00 to join the Shed Hunting Skills Workshop taught by Barbra De Groodt!
September 27-28th - Socialization Workshop by Jason Vasconi and Jeff Scarpino!
The use of socialization in your dog training business can be a game changer. When done appropriately, it provides mental and physical stimulation for the dogs, gives them a great source of enrichment and fulfillment, reduces barking and noise during kennel downtime, and overall improves the quality of your boarding operation. The socialization workshop will teach you the ins and outs of safe socialization, give you a deeper understanding of dog body language, and teach you the importance of tools to create a safe environment for the dogs in your care. You'll walk away with a deeper understanding of dog language, the knowledge to better evaluate incoming dogs, efficient ways to help train your staff, and so much more.
Only $450.00 to join the Socialization Workshop taught by Jeff Scarpino & Jason Vasconi!

JEFF SCARPINO
SOCIALIZATION WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER 27TH - 28TH
Jeff and his wife Gillian own and operate Off the Beaten Trail: Canine Facility, located in northern Vermont. Jeff’s love of dog psychology started early. One of Jeff’s childhood dogs, Bailey, unknowingly showed him how dogs could overcome traumatic events with time and guidance. When Jeff and Gillian adopted their first dog, Jibber, it quickly became apparent that his confident behavior would need strong guidance. Seeking the help of a trainer proved disastrous when the trainer’s advice did more harm than good. Jeff and Gillian lost Jibber at only 2 years old when he was hit by a car. Turning their grief into action, Off the Beaten Trail was born.
Today, Jeff has a knack for working with dogs that others have given up on. Jeff is a Certified Dog Trainer (IACP-CDT), a mentor for Animal Behavior College interns, and has served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Canine Professionals, including as the Vice President in 2019.
