Why it can be beneficial to bring your dog to the workshops!
Practical Application:
By bringing your dog, you can directly apply the training techniques and principles you learn during the workshop. This hands-on experience allows you to see how your dog responds to different socialization methods and gives you a chance to practice under the guidance of professionals.
Socialization Opportunities:
This workshop is designed to teach you how to safely run structured dog daycare and boarding facilities, as well as large field socials. You'll get hands on training and guidance in this aspect, and walk away with loads of knowledge to bring back to your own business. While we encourage you to bring your dog, this workshop is not designed to socialize or rehabilitate him or her.
Learning from Others:
Bringing your dog enables you to observe how other participants interact with dogs. You can exchange ideas, techniques, and experiences with fellow dog trainers, gaining valuable insights into different training methods and approaches.
Requirements for Bringing Your Dog:
All dogs must be up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines. Also, after you enroll in the seminar, we will be emailing a questionnaire about your dog to get to know him/her better and ensure this will be a good fit!
September 26th - Shed Hunting Workshop by Barbara De Groodt: Dogs must be dog friendly for this portion of the seminar.
September 27-28th
- Socialization Workshop by Jason Vasconi and Jeff Scarpino: Dogs must be on a leash until otherwise instructed.
*Check the specific guidelines and requirements for bringing your dog to the workshops, such as vaccination records, behavioral expectations, and any necessary safety measures upon signing up. With proper preparation and consideration, bringing your dog to our "Workshops" can be a rewarding and enriching experience for both of you.
